If you have an organization or business you would like to see gain more exposure, then please attend the first public event of my new business and share your input/feedback.

Climb Social Media, a Social Media Management Company, Will Be Holding a Free Seminar for Local Business Owners at the Sprague Library.

...Many businesses are still debating about whether to utilize social media as a marketing tool, and whether or not to invest resources and commit the maintenance time to run an effective social media campaign. Due to various social media sites and various profiles to create and maintain, the average business owner might conclude that social media is too time-consuming or too expensive.

Presenter Spencer D. Kimball will be holding a free information exchange workshop, “Social Media or Social Mediapathy?” for local business owners from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on May 25, 2011.

The event is held at the Sprague Library in Sugarhouse 2135 South 1100 East. Business owners will be given information to help them keep up with changes to sites such as Facebook, such as the recent Facebook switch to iframes. Also find out how to make your own Fan pages more appealing and why generic looking Facebook fan pages may no longer be enough to keep the interest of your followers.

Free instructional handouts will include an examination of the “How to Slay the Borg” marketing approaches claimed by many entrepreneurs on the internet. With hundreds, if not thousands of social media sites and internet marketing approaches available on the internet is there such a thing as a “best” way to use social media?

This demonstration will cover cost-effective approaches many businesses are currently using successfully, including effective branding, uploading custom backgrounds, how to efficiently link various social media sites to your blog or website, also how to make free or low cost upgrades to your existing Facebook account such as adding Reveal tabs.

Any local business is encouraged to attend to learn some of the latest strategies and the most efficient ways to run your own social media information network for your business. For businesses that would like to contribute, there will also be time set aside for businesses to share different ideas they are using or have developed for social media.

This meeting is open to the public and any prospective business owners, business owners or their representatives are welcome to attend.

Climb Social Media is a recently formed social media management company that partners with a highly experienced webmaster infobytes.com and their 20 employees.

Mr. Kimball puts a lot of time and thought into his work, with the way he cares for the success of business owners. He has two upcoming workshops (May 25 and June 13). He will share information with free handouts. He has a passion for sharing his ideas. For any company to stay ahead, we need to keep in pace with the ever-growing, yet ever-changing technology, and now the popular trend of social media. In spite of our hard work, it is becoming more difficult to thrive in this fast-paced world, with information always coming at us at full-speed. Mr. Kimball puts things in perspective and shows us how to set up and manage our accounts. Climb Social Media gives tips for improving company sites to keep businesses growing and engaging their customers.

Comment on The Template For Success You Already Possess by this1guy

Part ll: Your Key Passion vs. Your True Calling

Do you have a passion to teach the world about your most exceptional talent? This is the very important question you must ask yourself.

Unfortunately, for some people that skill might be something that has little, if any practical real marketable value, such as mastery of a video game few play but you yourself. There are many leisure time passions people have that they may NOT wish to share with the world. The aforementioned video game is one such example.

If this is the case then it is time to reassess your priorities of want you want to accomplish with your life. If you do not believe your skill will benefit the world then it is time to develop a passion that will add benefit in your life. I suggest if you haven’t already, to look again at the vast potential of the global marketplace, the internet.

How is that, you say? What if the things I like do not have the potential to help me achieve my goals? What if television and video games take up whatever is left of my free time? I meet people every day who do not feel they have the ability to re-focus their existing skills to apply towards a more profitable venture.

So for the sake of this article, I will assume you have no real skill that can be leveraged for financial success. To use an example, I love to follow basketball from the perspective of a participant and on the internet as a fan; I have even coached junior high and junior varsity teams. But when I asked myself if this is something I would like to have my life defined by, I realized it was not.

I enjoy spending my time analyzing player statistics in order to be able to better judge talent in fantasy basketball leagues. But in spite of the fact there is a limited amount of people who can actually make a career out of this; it is not something I would like have on my mind 24 hours per day.

It was time to refocus what I was most passionate about, as my interest in player statistics is not something that the world can benefit from. I realized my casual interest in technology and the internet needed to become my passion to get my message out, and those things I had been doing that wasted my time needed to be eliminated or de-emphasized.

Yes, it is that simple. I believe you would not have read to this point if you were not already arrived at the conclusion it is extremely important to have real purpose to one’s life. If your passion is for something that does not promote your strongest natural gifts to make the world a better place, then it is time for you realize you need a productive passion. If you have trouble convincing yourself of this transition then ask yourself where you will be 20 years from now doing the same thing you are doing now.

The answer is you must come to the realization that some of the things you choose to spend your time on must go, if they are not developing your skills and abilities for a higher purpose to your life. If you do not know what it is, it is time you pursue your true calling. The steps you take to make this commitment are something only you have control of.

Most people sooner or later will ask themselves the question: What is my true calling? The answer to this can be charted by answering five questions:

1. If you had complete control over all of the resources needed to whatever you wish, and there was one positive change or contribution you could make to the world, what would it be? In other words what would happen if you had the “magic wand” to wave?

2. How strong is this dream of yours, and where did it come from? Is it something you were taught, or was it something you already knew in your heart? Have you researched it from all possible angles?
3. What possible obstacles, criticisms lay ahead once you were to proclaim to the world what your life calling is? Do you anticipate there will be opposition and what is it the opposition might say?
4. Imagine yourself being recognized 20 years from now when you did accomplish the goal. What are they saying about you?

5. Will the accomplishment of your goal improve the lives of others? Is there any chance any innocent people may be harmed in any way if your goals are accomplished?

One key to verifying your passion is to also be passionate that it is essential for others to learn your expertise of the subject.
My own memories of college are of preparing for my senior recital by studying some of the world's greatest musical soloists, and spending hours per day practicing to emulate them to the best of my abilities. The habits I developed in this process formed the foundation of my teaching career. As I began my career teaching music, I realized that I sincerely believed music is one of the most important skills children can develop, and one of the most important things they can learn in school.
If you answered yes to the last question listed above, then of course you need to reassess how sincere you really feel about your responses and your actual expertise on the topic. You will want to keep searching, as you cannot have even the slightest doubt, or it is not really a life’s calling. When you are able to declare your passion you will feel 100% certain it will be of great benefit with no harm to others.
You will then be able to take the steps to immerse yourself in this calling and take advantage of the amazing communication technology available to shout your message to the world. Never in the history of the world has there been such an opportunity for the little guy to level the playing field and stand on an equal playing field with the Goliaths. You can literally create your own communication machine to get your unique message noticed. That opportunity, in and of itself, is something to get very excited about!
